Petermans Estate Agents is an independent family-run business, established in the 1960s by brothers Warner and Sidney Peterman. Led by Wendy Peterman and Howard Peterman for over 20 years, the agency continues to operate from its original location in Herne Hill, specialising in Sales, Lettings, and Property Management as well as its second office in Edgware.
As a small, dedicated team, many of whom have been with us for over a decade; we take pride in offering expert local knowledge and outstanding service. Many of our clients have remained with us for over 20 years, trust us for our core values of honesty, transparency, and integrity—principles that have guided us from the very beginning.
After realising that I would never be a good enough golfer to win The Open Championship, nor score the winning goal at Wembley for Tottenham – a career in property beckoned!!
After studying estate management I joined a commercial firm of Estate Agents in W1 for 2 years before moving to another major firm , where I stayed for 11 years. My background is in commercial property – particularly in the development and investment fields. I have been fortunate to have been involved in some major residential and commercial developments throughout London and the South East. On the investment side I have acted for clients on the sale and acquisition of buildings ranging from £500,000 to £35m+. I have been based in the Edgware office (having been Edgware born and bred) for over 20 years and been excited to see the growth of the area both residentially and commercially. There is so much happening and I love it – the potential of the area, the movement of people and the way in which it has evolved. Away from the office I love spending time with my fantastic wife, children and grandchildren. Still playing golf and still watching Tottenham.
